In 1973 a small group of people gathered together with the desire to pray for Chittenango and then to plant a church right in the heart of our community; reaching the lost, broken hearted, seeing people set free from sin and entering into newness of life in Christ.  Little did they realize what would take place and the impact on my life and your life—and so many others! It reminds me of the verse in Zechariah 4:10a “Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings?”

Our celebration begins 6 P.M. Saturday, April 22, 2023 with a buffet dinner and cake at Theodore’s Restaurant Rt. 5 Canastota (5 miles from Evangel) – cost $20 p.p. – children no charge. We will have special music and many of our former Pastors telling stories from our former days at Evangel. Sunday April 23, 2023 at 10 A.M. we will be blessed by former pastor Rev. Doug and Marie Moore from New Brunswick, Canada as our keynote speaker with also other former pastors and leaders in the Assemblies of God.  Our morning worship service will be unique as we express our love for Christ with songs from the 70’s ‘til 2020’s. Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” Right after morning worship we will continue to celebrate with a light luncheon in our Evangel Café.
